Aeration can be done anytime but is best spring and late fall. aeration allows the water and nutrients to get to your roots and also allows the lawn to breathe and grow thicker and stronger roots. Power Raking is done primarily in the spring and is used to remove the dead grass (thatch) that builds up in your yard over time. When Power Raking we follow a 5 step process:

power rake, then hand rake the grass, mow up the excess, 
aerate, and then fertilize your lawn in a package ranging from $150-225 depending on the size of yard. Prices are negotiable if only Power Raking where you clean up is requested.
